About the role
Lacoste is seeking a Wholesale Buyer to lead the buying function for its wholesale channel across all product categories. The role works closely with senior leadership, wholesale account managers and merchandising teams to develop and execute buying strategies that meet brand objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Set buying strategy for the wholesale channel in partnership with the Sr. Director of Buying, VP of Wholesale and Key Account Managers.
- Manage product accountability for Textiles, Footwear, Leather goods and Underwear.
- Present assortment strategies to wholesale accounts and tailor assortments to partner needs.
- Edit assortments, manage wholesale pricing structure and margin goals.
- Lead communication between merchandising, buying and wholesale teams regarding assortment changes and inventory demand.
- Collaborate with planning, visual merchandising and retail teams to monitor in‑season performance and coordinate seasonal deliveries.
- Identify market trends and assortment opportunities to support future business growth.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading buying functions for a wholesale channel.
- Ability to set and execute buying strategies with senior leadership.
- Experience managing multiple product categories (Textiles, Footwear, Leather goods, Underwear).
- Strong analytical skills to assess historical data, trends and margin performance.
- Excellent communication and partnership skills with account managers, planners and merchandising teams.
