Warehouse Specialist I – Entry Level (Rusk, TX)

About the role

The Warehouse Specialist I is an entry‑level position located at the Rusk State Hospital warehouse. You will support Supply Services by ensuring patients and residents receive the supplies they need, while working stable weekday hours in a safe, onsite environment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, receive, process, and store incoming stock.
• Pull orders from inventory and deliver goods to state facilities.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate electronic records.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and drive‑trucks with lift gates.
• Use handheld devices and inventory management software to track items.
• Participate in Continuity of Operations (COOP) activations as needed.

Required profile

• Works under moderate supervision with limited independent judgment.
• Full‑time, day‑shift availability (Monday‑Friday).
• Non‑exempt status and ability to follow safety protocols.
• Willingness to work at Rusk State Hospital and potentially other HHSC facilities.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
