Warehouse Associate – Inventory & Shipping

About the role

The Warehouse Associate works in an indoor warehouse environment, handling the accurate movement, storage, and shipping of goods. The role involves both independent tasks and teamwork, supporting production orders, receiving, parts pull, shipping, and cycle‑count activities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and unload material, sort shipments, and record discrepancies using a hand‑held scanner.
• Manage production orders, verify paperwork, print packing slips, and package sales orders according to special instructions.
• Pull parts and inventory using scanners and system software, maintain Excel production logs, and locate misplaced items.
• Prepare shipments, obtain freight quotes, use shipping software, and operate equipment such as hi‑low lifts, pallet jacks, cable spoolers, and foam machines.
• Conduct cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and supervise seasonal employees during count periods.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, wearing required safety equipment and following all safety codes.

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, crouch, crawl, stoop, or kneel regularly.
• Comfort working in a moderate‑noise indoor warehouse and interacting with customers, sales reps, and internal teams.
• Willingness to follow safety procedures and wear proper protective gear.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand‑held scanners and barcode printers.
• Experience using Excel for production order logs.
• Familiarity with warehouse inventory and shipping software systems.
• Operation of hi‑low lifts, pallet jacks, cable spoolers, cable cutters, and foam machines.
• Ability to obtain freight quotes and manage shipping documentation.
