About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a pre‑selected medical student to join Dr. Mitch McGill’s laboratory as a Visiting Student. This short‑term, on‑site research experience supports the university’s mission of education, research, and patient‑centered care.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in ongoing laboratory projects under the supervision of Dr. McGill.
- Perform experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis as directed.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to weekly research meetings.
Required profile
- Current enrollment in a medical school.
- Authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
- Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved exemption.
