Vice President, Treasury Strategy & Capital Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President to lead its Capital Planning and Analysis team within Corporate Treasury. Based in Purchase, NY, this senior leader will shape the company’s capital, liquidity, and funding strategy, working closely with the Assistant Corporate Treasurer and senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the capital structure strategy, defining target capital and liquidity levels through rigorous financial modeling, ratings analysis, and stress testing.
• Own Board‑level capital planning materials and provide recommendations on dividends and share repurchases.
• Manage relationships with the bank group that support funding and risk‑management requirements.
• Lead Mastercard’s funding strategy, including term debt issuance and commercial paper programs.
• Oversee rating agency relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory capital and liquidity standards.
• Direct the investments team responsible for the corporate cash portfolio and investment income optimization.
• Forecast interest income and expense and integrate Treasury considerations into M&A due diligence and integration.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate treasury, capital planning, and capital markets execution.
• Proven ability to lead senior‑level teams and influence Board‑level decisions.
• Strong understanding of regulatory capital, liquidity management, and rating agency expectations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, especially with banks and rating agencies.
