Vice President Technical Program Management

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Vice President of Technical Program Management to lead high‑performing teams that drive enterprise‑wide initiatives across its Platform Services program. This senior leader will partner with executive leadership, product, engineering, and legal teams to deliver strategic outcomes that shape the future of commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Drive large, enterprise‑wide efforts that solve complex Mastercard problems, including multi‑year roadmaps and organizational goals.
• Lead a team of deeply technical TPMs to gather requirements, define architecture, and align cross‑functional dependencies.
• Own RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management across products.
• Influence organizational priorities and ensure delivery across broad, cross‑organizational, architectural, or global complexities.
• Craft and manage written and verbal communications up to the executive and CTO level.
• Define outcomes and benefits where business and technical strategies are undefined, bringing clarity to ambiguity.
• Apply deep end‑to‑end knowledge of Mastercard platforms, technologies, and domains to invent, evolve, simplify, and deliver solutions.
• Identify and eliminate institutional waste, optimize architectural and organizational structures, and share knowledge at conferences and community events.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical program management teams at an executive level.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional alignment.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting to executives and CTOs.
• Independent, autonomous work style with a track record of delivering results in ambiguous environments.
• Deep understanding of large‑scale platforms, technologies, and domain expertise within the payments or financial services industry.
