Vice President, Credit Decisioning – Wealth Management

About the role

Join the newly created Credit Decisioning Unit within JPMorgan Wealth Management and help shape systematic risk management across a broad range of wealth credit products. As a Vice President you will lead first‑line risk activities, collaborate with second‑line partners, and design quantitative frameworks that support disciplined growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage risk‑taking through the Marginal Decisioning Framework across lending portfolios.
• Maintain and adjust the margin adequacy framework as market dynamics evolve.
• Coordinate market coverage and actions with first‑ and second‑line defense functions.
• Interpret market and portfolio changes into actionable risk‑reducing measures.
• Design new quantitative models, extend existing metrics, and ensure governance.
• Partner with front‑line teams and Independent Risk to structure innovative credit solutions.
• Publish market‑facing commentary, produce policies, procedures, and model documentation.
• Manage governance, escalations, forum materials, and reporting for the CDU.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree.
• 7+ years in an analytical, technical, trading, or research‑oriented role in capital markets.
• Broad knowledge of financial products, especially securities‑based lending and margin trading.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.

• Python and associated data‑analytics packages.
• Tableau or other business‑intelligence and data‑visualisation tools.
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
