Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider

About the role

Xpress Wellness is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join its urgent care clinic in Dodge City, KS. The role focuses on evaluating and treating patients with primary, urgent, episodic, and non‑emergent healthcare needs while adhering to established clinical standards and company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, physical examinations, and assessments for urgent, emergent, and non‑urgent visits.
• Order, perform, interpret, and review diagnostic testing, imaging, and laboratory studies to support clinical decision‑making.
• Evaluate test results and diagnostic findings to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prescribe and administer medications, treatments, therapies, vaccinations, and other medically appropriate interventions.
• Provide hands‑on urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, orthopedic‑related care, and other common clinical services within scope of practice.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, follow‑up care, and referral needs.
• Complete accurate documentation in the medical record, ensuring charts are closed within 24–48 hours.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and operational activities as assigned, and provide medical direction and supervision to staff.

• Readiness to collaborate with a supervising physician available via telecommunication for consultation and emergencies.
