Traveling Building Superintendent

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee construction projects across multiple sites. The position offers a $70,000 annual salary, a 9‑days‑on/5‑days‑off schedule, and a week of vacation after 90 days, plus access to employee resorts.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure construction projects are completed on time and within budget, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors.
• Liaise with government inspectors to secure necessary licenses and meet safety standards.
• Conduct weekly site meetings, write daily progress reports, and capture site photos.
• Manage general contractors and subcontractors, enforcing clean and safe site conditions.
• Track material costs, issue purchase orders, and maintain accurate financial records.
• Travel to project sites, including long drives (6+ hours) and occasional flights, while maintaining the assigned vehicle.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with proven leadership experience.
• Reliable transportation and ability to lift 50 lb and work in all weather conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in daily time‑keeping and documentation using third‑party web tools.
