Traveling Building Maintenance Technician

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Traveling Building Maintenance Technician to support its network of offices, docks, warehouses, and mechanic shops across the country. The position involves extensive travel (9 days on‑site, 5 days off) with all travel expenses covered.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on offices, docks, warehouses, fuel islands, and related stations.
• Repair and maintain overhead doors, dock plates, lighting, electrical systems, light concrete work, plumbing fixtures, drywall, painting, and metal siding.
• Utilize company‑provided service vehicle and large tools such as ladders, welders, and air compressors.
• Travel extensively, adhering to a 9‑day on‑road, 5‑day off schedule.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on welding experience (non‑negotiable).
• At least 2 years of experience across multiple skilled trades: welding, electrical (including 3‑phase), plumbing, and carpentry.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively with a good Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must provide basic hand tools and be able to work independently in varied environments.

• Hourly pay of $26.00‑$28.00.
