Training and Awareness Specialist – Cybersecurity

About the role

Cybervance is looking for a full‑time Training and Awareness Specialist to expand its cybersecurity awareness program in Portland, OR. The role will design, deliver and measure training that helps federal‑government employees understand and mitigate cyber risks.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate and run monthly phishing simulations using KnowBe4 and incorporate results into the broader awareness curriculum.
• Develop annual, role‑based and ad‑hoc training modules, tracking participation and reporting metrics on a quarterly or monthly basis.
• Lead Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities each October in partnership with the Office of the CIO.
• Maintain visual consistency and impact of training materials using design tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Experience in Instructional System Design and graphic design.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear learning content.
• Strong project‑management skills with a record of on‑schedule delivery.

• KnowBe4 phishing simulation platform.
• PowerPoint, Articulate, Photoshop, Canva for visual design and storyboarding.
