Telehealth Physician (1099) – CA License Required

About the role

We are seeking board‑certified physicians to join 9amHealth as independent‑contractor Telehealth Physicians. In this remote role you will provide real‑time video consultations to patients managing cardiometabolic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct synchronous video appointments for patients with cardiometabolic conditions.
• Perform medical assessments, review patient histories, and address concerns within the scope of each visit.
• Provide evidence‑based recommendations, prescribe medications, or refer patients as appropriate.
• Document each encounter accurately in the company’s electronic health record system.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Active medical license in the state of California.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Obesity Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Experience treating type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and obesity.
• Strong communication skills for virtual care delivery.
• Prior telemedicine experience preferred.
