Technical Project Manager – Special Machinery & Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of customized industrial automation and special‑purpose machinery solutions. You will act as the primary liaison between customers and Bosch Manufacturing Solutions (BMG) global engineering teams, overseeing projects from concept through commissioning and final acceptance.

Key responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and contractual commitments into clear project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, critical‑path milestones, and resource allocation plans using standard project management tools.
• Monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement mitigation actions to ensure on‑time delivery and compliance with BMG quality standards.
• Lead on‑site installation, commissioning, and final acceptance activities at customer facilities.
• Direct multidisciplinary international teams (mechanical, electrical, software) across BMG locations and act as the General Contractor for sourcing and integration of machinery and subsystems.
• Foster collaboration between engineering hubs, third‑party suppliers, and local US execution teams (engineering, purchasing, logistics, commissioning).
• Maintain primary customer interface throughout the project lifecycle, building strong technical and executive relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex industrial automation or special‑purpose machinery projects.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership of cross‑functional, geographically dispersed teams.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on schedule, budget, and quality control.
