Team Truck Driver (Class A) – $140k-$160k Salary

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced Class A Team Drivers to join its Birmingham, AL service center. Drivers work in pairs, pulling van trailers up to 53’ or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations. The schedule is 5 days on the road and 2 days home each week, with vacation earned after 90 days.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class A trucks and pull van or double trailers safely and efficiently.
• Transport freight between designated service centers and turn‑point locations.
• Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, including pre‑employment physicals and drug screens.
• Adhere to scheduled delivery times and company safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A experience within the past 3 years.
• Clean driving record (no serious violations, ≤3 moving violations in 3 years).
• Age 23 (or 21 with FMCSA military transition specifications).
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.

Required skills

• Class A CDL
• Experience with double/triple trailer operations
• Hazmat endorsement (preferred)
• Experience hauling LTL freight (preferred)
