About the role
The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is offering a 10‑week summer internship in its People & Engagement (P&E) group for graduate‑level students. Interns will join a cohort, work onsite in New York, and contribute to projects that support the Bank’s culture, talent strategy, and employee experience.
Key responsibilities
- Assist on specialized projects across P&E functions such as Learning & Development, HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, and Internal Communications.
- Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports to support innovative HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and mentors to gain insight into public‑service financial operations.
- Participate in community‑building events, networking sessions, and professional development workshops.
Required profile
- Graduate‑level student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and communication abilities.
- Interest in public‑service finance and employee experience.
- Ability to work full‑time onsite for ten weeks.
