About the role
We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our Tyler, TX team, focusing on the design, analysis and modification of centrifugal pump components. The role involves hands‑on engineering work from concept through to detailed drawings and support of manufacturing.
Key responsibilities
- Study and design impellers, case volutes, diffusers and re‑rate pumps to meet specific performance criteria.
- Perform trim and thrust load analyses for our remanufacturing and PW610 facilities.
- Map pump case volutes, collect critical hydraulic dimensions and produce detailed 2‑D drawings.
- Create volute and case throat modification drawings based on engineering data.
- Manage shop‑floor modifications of pump cases and impellers.
- Generate 3‑D models of hydraulic components and fluid models in SolidWorks for CFD analysis.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency with SolidWorks (3‑D) and SolidWorks 2D.
- Experience using DraftSight or similar 2‑D CAD tools.
- Competence in Excel or other spreadsheet applications.
