Sr. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Specialist to support Manufacturing North at its Fort Worth, TX facility. The role focuses on implementing, coordinating, and continuously improving site HSE programs to strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, occupational and environmental programs to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
• Inspect workplace and environmental incidents, enforce corrective actions, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Lead incident investigations, conduct root‑cause analysis, and drive timely closure of corrective actions.
• Analyze trends, create prevention strategies, and deliver HSE training for associates, contractors, and leaders.
• Maintain accurate HSE metrics, dashboards, and reporting for governance meetings.
• Facilitate formal risk assessments (P‑SIF, JSA, HIRA) and verify implementation of controls.
• Serve as program owner for assigned HSE initiatives, ensuring regulatory and corporate alignment.
• Participate in internal and external audits, managing audit findings and follow‑up actions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in health, safety, and environmental functions within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to lead investigations, risk assessments, and training programs.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices for HSE compliance.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with employees, leadership, and external stakeholders.
