About the role
The Spirits New Business Development Specialist will drive volume, share and profit growth for breakthru’s spirits portfolio across multi‑unit accounts in California. You will manage relationships with key buyers, collaborate with trade development and field sales teams, and ensure the execution of brand strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and grow key accounts by communicating marketing plans and presenting new products.
- Develop annual account plans that align brand and consumer strategies with business goals.
- Educate account staff on priority brands through training seminars and business insights.
- Manage and evaluate promotional spend, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare account‑specific presentations covering volume, profit, distribution and merchandising targets.
- Participate in strategy briefings, provide feedback on program execution and propose solutions.
- Monitor market competition, pricing schedules and product programming.
- Coordinate supplier surveys, route planning and follow‑up activities.
- Create and deploy point‑of‑sale materials, including signage and cocktail lists, using BBG digital capabilities.
- Support event‑marketing initiatives to maximize brand visibility.
Required profile
- Current associate within breakthru or similar sales environment.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑unit accounts and influence purchasing decisions.
- Strong analytical skills to assess promotional performance and market data.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Experience collaborating with trade development, field sales and division managers.
