Speech Therapist (Contract) – Pocahontas

About the role

We are seeking a licensed Speech‑Language Pathologist to join the Kids First clinic in Pocahontas on a contract basis. The role involves delivering evidence‑based evaluation and therapy for children from birth to five years who present with communication, oral‑motor or feeding challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive speech‑language assessments and individualized treatment plans for the birth‑to‑5 population.
• Deliver direct therapy services using best‑practice techniques for communication, oral‑motor and feeding disorders.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of clinicians, educators and families to support each child’s progress.
• Document clinical findings, maintain accurate records, and report outcomes in accordance with UAMS policies.

Required profile

• Valid Arkansas license as a Speech‑Language Pathologist or eligibility to obtain it within one month of hire.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility pending completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Commitment to UAMS vaccination policy or approved exemption.
