Special Agent – Federal Law Enforcement

About the role

As a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, you will protect the United States from cyber‑attacks, terrorism, fraud and other threats to public safety. The role blends investigative work with advanced cybersecurity expertise to uncover and disrupt criminal activity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws, including cyber‑crime and public‑safety offenses.
• Gather, analyze and preserve digital evidence to support prosecutions.
• Collaborate with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial and international law‑enforcement partners.
• Maintain physical fitness and readiness for law‑enforcement duties.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Meet the FBI’s employment eligibility requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.

Required skills

• Cybersecurity knowledge and experience.
