Service Technician – Student Living (Temp)

About the role

This temporary position provides technical and mechanical support for The Ridge at Clear Creek student‑living community, ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspection.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, track usage and notify supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Perform routine grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Inspect contractor work and conduct periodic property inspections to identify safety or repair concerns.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of property‑management or building‑maintenance experience.
• Relevant certifications such as HVAC, EPA Type I/II or Universal refrigerant recycling, and any state or local licenses as required.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work independently, lead tasks and collaborate within a team.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).

Required skills

• HVAC systems troubleshooting and repair.
• EPA refrigerant recycling certifications (Type I, Type II, Universal).
• Proficiency with Internet, word‑processing, spreadsheet and database management software.
