Service Technician – Student Living Apartments

About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician to join the team at Delaware Apartments, a student‑living community managed by Greystar. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas safe, functional and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, procuring supplies and completing all required maintenance tasks.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment and supplies, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning and painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings and complete required training to comply with Greystar’s risk‑management policies.
