Service Technician – Automotive Dealership

About the role

Jordan Ford, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, is expanding its service department and seeks motivated Service Technicians of all experience levels. You will work in a busy shop serving a growing customer base, performing repairs and maintenance on Ford vehicles while receiving clear training pathways and competitive pay.

Key responsibilities

• Receive repair orders, move vehicles to the stall area, and complete work as outlined.
• Diagnose malfunctions, perform repairs, and document all work performed.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed components and tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Inspect vehicles for additional safety or service needs and notify the service advisor promptly.
• Road‑test vehicles or coordinate with the test technician, ensuring no personal use.
• Supervise apprentice technicians when assigned.
• Attend factory‑sponsored training and stay current with technical bulletins.
• Maintain a clean shop, keep dealership tools accounted for, and follow all safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to diagnose and repair automotive issues efficiently and accurately.
• Willingness to follow dealership, factory, and safety standards.
• Strong communication with parts staff and service advisors.
• Readiness to supervise apprentices and participate in ongoing training.
