Service Desk Engineer

About the role

Konica Minolta is seeking a Service Desk Engineer to deliver remote and onsite technical support for Microsoft‑based business environments. You will join a growing IT services team, providing assistance to end users while contributing to long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to clients over the phone using remote control tools.
• Conduct onsite technical support at client locations as needed.
• Diagnose and resolve workstation, server, and network infrastructure issues.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, modification, and disabling.
• Troubleshoot backup, malware, virus, and other technical problems.
• Provision new laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Collaborate with application vendors to resolve application errors.
• Answer end‑user questions and remediate issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + years of experience in a helpdesk or network administration role.
• College or IT trade school degree, technical certifications, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple technical issues simultaneously.

• Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012.
• VMware or Microsoft Hyper‑V virtualization technologies.
• Anti‑virus, anti‑spam, and anti‑spyware solutions.
• Backup and recovery technologies.
• Citrix and Microsoft Remote Desktop Services.
• Firewalls, routers, and managed switches.
• LAN, WAN, and wireless networking hardware and software.
• HP Insight Manager and Dell OpenManage systems management tools.
• Active Directory administration and user account management.
• Remote control tools for desktop support.
