Senior Test Engineer

About the role

Venus Aerospace is seeking a Senior Test Engineer to lead the design, development, commissioning, and operation of cutting‑edge propulsion test facilities that turn innovative concepts into flight‑ready hardware.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, commission, and operate propulsion test facilities.
• Architect high‑pressure fluid, pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic systems.
• Create test plans, hazard analyses, and execute development and qualification campaigns.
• Analyze test data, lead root‑cause investigations, and implement safety and performance improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years supporting engine testing or complex mechanical test systems.
• Ability to work outdoors in PPE and lift up to 50 lbs.

Required skills

• Design and troubleshooting of high‑pressure fluid systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition (DAQ).
• Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• CAD modeling (e.g., Siemens NX) and familiarity with Teamcenter and the Atlassian suite.
• Root‑cause analysis and cross‑functional communication.
