Senior Tax Analyst – US Corporate Tax

About the role

Convatec is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Tax Analyst to join its North America Tax Team. You will manage a broad range of corporate tax functions, focusing on U.S. federal, state, and indirect tax compliance as well as tax provision under IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual and half‑year U.S. income tax provisions for approximately 18 domestic entities, including data collection, tax packages, reconciliations, current and deferred tax calculations, and roll‑forward schedules.
• Analyze U.S. P&L and book‑to‑tax adjustments to explain IFRS and cash tax variances.
• Assist with provision true‑up, DTA studies, and SOX‑related control processes.
• Coordinate and review federal and state income and franchise tax returns prepared by external advisors, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Oversee indirect tax return preparation by third‑party providers.
• Support IRS and state tax audits by compiling documentation and drafting responses.
• Conduct technical tax research on legislative changes and assess their impact.
• Prepare modeling and documentation for income tax positions, including interest limitation (Section 163j) and foreign source income (GILTI, BEAT).
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the tax function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in U.S. corporate tax compliance, tax provision, and IFRS reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit support.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external advisors.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Experience with Alteryx (advantageous).
