Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

StockX is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst with deep expertise in U.S. sales and use tax and tax accounting. You will join a collaborative Tax team that works closely with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Product, Operations, and external advisors to support the company’s rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Tax Manager in preparing workpapers and filing indirect tax returns across multiple U.S. jurisdictions.
• Maintain sales and use tax reconciliations, support month‑end close, and contribute to the annual financial statement process.
• Manage indirect tax audits, notices, IDRs, and controversy matters, including documentation gathering and response coordination.
• Monitor state and local tax legislation, assess impact, and drive implementation of required changes.
• Research tax implications of new business initiatives and provide recommendations to mitigate exposure.
• Support tax engine testing, UAT, and issue tracking for tax‑related system changes.
• Proactively verify tax charge accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and partner with cross‑functional teams on solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of corporate tax experience, preferably with multi‑state sales and use tax knowledge.
• Detail‑oriented self‑starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
