Senior Staff Accountant / Tax Professional – Fully Remote (US)

About the role

We are an established public accounting firm seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant / Tax Professional to join our fully remote team. This role supports a diverse portfolio of individual and business clients across the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Record and review adjusting journal entries.
• Prepare individual and business tax returns.
• Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial information.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Communicate directly with clients as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of public accounting or tax experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation preferred or active progress toward CPA licensure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Expertise in individual and business tax preparation.
• CPA knowledge or pursuit of CPA certification.
