About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects that support its education, research, and clinical missions. This full‑time position works within a collaborative health‑care environment, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects across multiple departments.
• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate progress.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with university policies.
• Prepare regular status reports and present outcomes to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience managing large‑scale projects in a health‑care or research setting.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
