Senior Officer – Principal Giving (East)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a dynamic Senior Officer to lead its Principal Giving East portfolio. This front‑line fundraiser will engage high‑net‑worth individuals across the Eastern United States, cultivating multi‑year, seven‑figure commitments that support the IRC’s humanitarian mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of 30‑50 high‑net‑worth donors, guiding each through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Qualify, solicit, and secure six‑ and seven‑figure gifts using donor‑centric fundraising practices.
• Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective principal donors.
• Collaborate with the Associate Director and External Relations team to produce proposals, donor communications, and stewardship reports.
• Leverage program and IRC leadership to align donor interests with organizational impact.
