Assistant Produce Manager

About the role

The Assistant Produce Manager supports the produce and floral departments at Brookshire Grocery Company stores, ensuring product quality, optimal inventory levels, and excellent customer service. Working closely with upper management, this role helps drive sales, maintain food safety standards, and create appealing displays.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in training, scheduling, and directing produce team members.
• Review historical sales, promotions, and inventory data to support decision‑making.
• Co‑manage inventory, monitor stock levels, and ensure accurate ordering and paperwork.
• Inspect products for quality and compliance with food safety and labeling regulations.
• Prepare, cut, and display produce and floral items to maximize visual appeal.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work and shopping environments.
• Provide friendly customer service, answer inquiries, and resolve complaints.
