Senior Manager, Accounting & Reporting

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Accounting & Reporting functions at its Fort Worth site. You will ensure accurate transaction recording, compliance with IFRS and internal standards, and timely preparation of financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Interact proactively with functional areas to guarantee accurate accounting and financial reporting within deadlines and in accordance with IFRS and the Alcon Accounting Manual.
• Manage and review monthly balance‑sheet account analyses and reconciliations, ensuring robustness and accuracy.
• Oversee the monthly closing process for assigned areas.
• Drive ongoing process improvements to increase efficiency and address operational changes.
• Maintain service level and KPI targets for assigned areas.
• Collaborate with finance colleagues, auditors, and regional/global reporting teams, ensuring timely communication on accounting matters.
• Ensure all processes comply with Alcon standards, policies, and financial controls.
• Understand general‑ledger impacts from inter‑departmental transactions such as manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, inter‑company receivables/payables, and cash activity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 7 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• CPA preferred.

• IFRS knowledge.
• Proficiency with the Alcon Accounting Manual and related financial controls.
• Expertise in financial reporting and month‑end close processes.
• Balance‑sheet reconciliation and analysis.
