Senior Lead FP&A – Aircraft Business

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a senior finance professional to lead financial planning and analysis for its Aircraft Business Unit. The role focuses on partnering with engineering, operations and program teams to translate operational drivers into actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly forecasting, quarterly outlooks and annual planning for Aircraft Business departments and programs.
• Build and maintain financial models linking headcount, labor, material, overhead and operating initiatives to performance.
• Analyze actuals versus plan, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to business leaders.
• Translate production, engineering and program assumptions into financial impacts on spend, margins and resource needs.
• Partner with engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing and program management to support hiring, labor planning, vendor spend and capital investment decisions.
• Develop repeatable reporting dashboards, planning templates and improve data quality across corporate FP&A, accounting and HR systems.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in FP&A, program finance, operations finance or business finance.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting and variance analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to partner with operational or technical teams and translate operational drivers into financial outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to cross‑functional leaders.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and managing multiple priorities.
