Senior Front‑end Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Front‑end Engineer you will join Altium’s R&D team to build cloud‑native applications for the Altium 365 platform. You will work on complex engineering software that combines microelectronics, cloud services and modern UI technologies, helping engineers collaborate more efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop applications and modules using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Vue.js.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and maintain cross‑browser compatibility.
• Build reusable code libraries and components for future projects.
• Collaborate with teammates, share knowledge and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovative solutions within the front‑end stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a front‑end engineer.
• Proactive, self‑motivated learner who views engineering as a way of thinking.
• Clear communicator able to think big and solve emerging problems.
• Long‑term perspective, anticipating issues early in development.
• Flexible and agile, comfortable adapting to change.
• Ownership mindset – sees commitments through to completion.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of HTML and CSS (SCSS).
• Strong experience with Vue.js, including Vuex and Vue Router.
• Familiarity with BEM or another CSS methodology.
• Experience building Single‑Page Application (SPA) modules.
• Proficient understanding of cross‑browser compatibility.
• Version control using Git and/or SVN.
