Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, Austin

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join its FP&A team supporting Worldwide Operations Manufacturing. The role involves managing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while collaborating with business managers and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own all spending and budgeting activities, including forecasting, journal entries, capital budget execution, quarter‑end close, and account reconciliation.
• Consolidate FP&A requirements, deliver reporting analysis for financial cycles, and support quarterly business reviews and annual operating plans.
• Develop financial models, run scenario analyses, and provide insights on margins, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead efforts to streamline management reporting and centralize analytics.
• Identify and drive process‑improvement initiatives across finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Required profile

• 4‑7 years of finance experience; Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance (Master’s preferred).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; collaborative working style.
• Self‑starter with a positive attitude, able to thrive in a rapidly changing environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modeling.
• Experience with financial systems such as SAP.
• Familiarity with Anaplan and Tableau is a plus.
