Senior Electronic Technician

About the role

Senior Electronic Technician responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing electronic units for major drive manufacturers in a fast‑paced service environment.

Key responsibilities

• Read schematic drawings or engineering instructions to assemble and disassemble electronic units.
• Develop and execute tests for Allen Bradley, Siemens, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Indramat and other drive manufacturers.
• Troubleshoot and repair drives, providing phone support to customers and other Paragon branches.
• Document test procedures and results, and perform component/board level repair.
• Solder through‑hole and surface‑mount components using advanced techniques.
• Use DDM, oscilloscope, function generator, variable power supplies, Huntron and amp probe for diagnostics.
• Wire drives and motors together for testing, load and modify drive parameters.
• Test electronic units with standard equipment, analyze performance and adjust as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the department.
• Participate in continuous improvement through training and associate development.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required skills

• Advanced through‑hole and surface‑mount soldering
• Component and board level repair
• Drive and motor wiring for testing
• Electronic unit testing and performance analysis
• Knowledge of electronic theory for troubleshooting
