Senior Buyer – Electronics Procurement

About the role

Moog is seeking a Senior Buyer to support its new Commercial Circuits organization. The role involves managing supplier relationships, executing procurement processes, and ensuring on‑time delivery of electronic components in a hybrid work environment based in Salt Lake City.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify sources that meet Moog’s cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Execute the full procurement cycle: sourcing, supplier selection, technical evaluation, cost analysis, purchase order generation, and documentation.
• Develop and negotiate long‑term purchasing agreements for moderately complex electronic commodities.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the supply base, market pricing, and conditions.
• Lead regular status meetings with suppliers and monitor performance, working with Quality and Supplier Development Engineering to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Program Planning to release requisitions and resolve order discrepancies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business‑related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics/PCBA procurement.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and inspection procedures.

Required skills

• Reading technical drawings and specifications.
