Senior Associate/VP – Consumer & Retail Investment Banking

About the role

Santander Corporate Investment Bank (CIB) is looking for an experienced Vice President to join its Consumer & Retail Investment Banking team in New York. The role combines global resources with an entrepreneurial culture, offering the chance to lead complex transactions and shape client relationships across the consumer and retail sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of M&A, equity capital markets and debt capital markets transactions.
• Manage cross‑border deals in coordination with teams in Europe and Latin America.
• Coordinate development of client deliverables, including detailed financial models, valuation analyses and marketing materials.
• Drive due‑diligence efforts, oversee data rooms and align internal and external workstreams.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to corporate and financial‑sponsor clients, supporting origination through pitch development and market analysis.
• Supervise and mentor Associates and Analysts, guiding execution, modeling and presentation work.
• Participate in recruiting, training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives across the investment bank.

Required profile

• Proven track record in investment banking, preferably with experience in M&A, equity and debt transactions.
• Strong client coverage skills and ability to generate new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as required by senior deal teams or clients.
