Senior Associate – Capital Planning and Treasury

About the role

Join Santander's Capital Planning and Stress Testing team within Treasury. You will help ensure the bank remains well‑capitalized under normal and stressed conditions by supporting enterprise‑wide financial forecasting, stress testing, and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the end‑to‑end capital planning process, including scenario design, capital and RWA forecasting, and impact assessment.
• Analyze bank financial statements to model balance‑sheet and income‑statement effects for stress testing.
• Collaborate with business units and risk partners to gather inputs and assumptions for models.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for forecasting methodologies and governance.
• Ensure accurate data aggregation, transformation, and reporting across capital and RWA components.
• Build, maintain, and enhance Excel‑based models and templates for capital projections and regulatory reporting.
• Prepare materials for senior management and regulators (e.g., FR Y‑14A, CCAR).
• Assist in improving stress‑testing infrastructure, governance, and automation tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field.
• 9+ years of experience in banking, capital planning, financial planning, or accounting.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel modeling.
