Safety Health & Environmental Specialist

About the role

The Safety Health & Environmental Specialist drives safety, health and environmental sustainability at the Medford manufacturing site. You will provide guidance, training and support to ensure daily compliance with regulations and company policies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a safety, health and environmental culture as a core value.
• Coordinate and facilitate SH&E training to maintain compliance and competency.
• Lead site SH&E programs and provide guidance to cross‑functional teams.
• Oversee incident investigations, ensure corrective actions are completed and documentation is maintained.
• Analyze SH&E conditions, recommend improvements and participate on the SH&E committee.
• Conduct risk assessments for existing jobs and new equipment or processes.
• Maintain an audit‑ready state of compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Implement processes and SOPs to meet federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and report accurate SH&E data and metrics in designated systems.
• Ensure day‑to‑day compliance with security and SH&E guidelines.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in safety, health, environmental or related discipline.
• 1–2 years experience in a safety & health role within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations and ability to interpret them.
• Strong decision‑making, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective interpersonal skills to work cross‑functionally.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
