Machine Operator – AM Shift (12‑hour schedule)

About the role

The Machine Operator works the AM 12‑hour shift in a bakery environment, supporting safe, efficient and high‑quality production. You will operate a variety of equipment, monitor product quality and ensure continuous ingredient and product flow.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain steady ingredient, dough, crust, pan and product flow to prevent production interruptions.
• Operate and monitor bakery equipment such as mixers, conveyors, ovens, proofers and depanners.
• Identify, troubleshoot and communicate equipment, process, safety or quality concerns promptly.
• Document batch data, downtime, lot numbers and other required paperwork accurately.
• Support sanitation, changeovers, shutdowns and overall department readiness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent, or comparable work experience.
• Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills to interpret scales, production documents and panelviews.
• Ability to complete on‑the‑job safety, equipment and forklift training.
• Reliability, regular attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Operation of bakery equipment including mixers, conveyors, ovens, proofers and depanners.
• Mechanical troubleshooting and aptitude.
• Forklift certification and operation.
• Use of panelview computer systems for equipment control.
