Roving Community Manager – South Bay (San Jose)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Roving Community Manager to support multiple multifamily communities across the South Bay market. This position oversees day‑to‑day operations, financial performance, and resident experience for assigned properties while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing property budgets by analyzing financial statements, market data, and operational reports.
• Achieve revenue targets by setting rent rates, collecting rent and fees, processing bank deposits, and preparing monthly financial status reports.
• Approve vendor and contractor invoices, verify insurance certificates, code charges correctly, and coordinate with accounting and owners.
• Manage expenditures within approved budgets and maintain petty‑cash controls.
• Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, lease renewals, rent discounts, inspections, notices, evictions, and collection of late fees.
• Provide on‑site support to property teams, ensuring high standards of service and compliance with Fair Housing, ADA, and other regulations.

Required profile

• Current experience in a Community Manager or similar property management role.
• Strong understanding of multifamily housing operations and relevant legal requirements.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make budgetary decisions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of budgeting and financial reporting for real‑estate assets.
• Familiarity with lease administration and resident relations processes.
• Proficiency in handling vendor contracts and invoice reconciliation.
