About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Maumelle Clinic as a Phone Nurse. This full‑time, day‑shift position provides remote clinical support to patients calling the clinic, delivering professional nursing assessment and guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls and perform nursing triage using evidence‑based protocols.
• Provide health education, medication counseling, and follow‑up instructions.
• Document all interactions accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Coordinate referrals and schedule in‑person appointments as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the United States.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours in an onsite clinic environment.
• Strong verbal communication and clinical assessment skills.

Required skills

• Phone triage and remote patient assessment.
• Clinical documentation in an EMR system.
• Knowledge of nursing protocols and medication management.
