Research Assistant I – Vascular Surgery

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Assistant I to support its Vascular Surgery research program. This entry‑level position will work closely with faculty and clinical staff to advance vascular surgery investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, execution, and documentation of vascular surgery research projects.
• Collect, process, and analyze biological samples and clinical data.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and manage inventory.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for internal and external dissemination.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, clinicians, and graduate students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field (e.g., biology, biomedical engineering, health sciences).
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work onsite in a research laboratory environment.
