About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Research Assistant I to support its Vascular Surgery research program. This entry‑level position will work closely with faculty and clinical staff to advance vascular surgery investigations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design, execution, and documentation of vascular surgery research projects.
- Collect, process, and analyze biological samples and clinical data.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and manage inventory.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and manuscripts for internal and external dissemination.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, clinicians, and graduate students.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific field (e.g., biology, biomedical engineering, health sciences).
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite in a research laboratory environment.
