About the role

Touro Infirmary is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Registered Nurse to join its acute‑care team in New Orleans. You will deliver compassionate, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced, teaching‑hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including assessments, planning, and implementation of treatment plans.
• Monitor patient health conditions and respond to changes promptly.
• Administer medications safely and operate required medical equipment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and discharge instructions.

Required profile

• Current Registered Nurse license in Louisiana.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies, infection‑control standards, and safety protocols.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented clinical setting.
• Prior experience in an acute‑care or teaching‑hospital environment is advantageous.
