About the role

As a Regional Sales Manager at Tesla, you will lead the sales and operational performance of a defined territory, driving revenue growth while delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will shape both strategic direction and day‑to‑day execution, ensuring the region meets Tesla’s high standards for profitability, market share, and brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop high‑performing teams across field retail, service‑plus, and Tesla Centers.
  • Directly manage people‑leaders, fostering a culture of leadership, training, succession planning, and talent retention.
  • Provide hands‑on coaching, set clear targets, and give real‑time feedback in stores and delivery centers.
  • Mediate customer concerns, uphold safety and security standards in partnership with EH&S and security teams.
  • Analyze reports and dashboards to guide strategic decisions and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with local market sales and DMV requirements, collaborating with fleet logistics to optimize sales and delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders to develop market strategy and commercial awareness.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and meet critical deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with complex process improvement (Lean or similar) and prior P&L responsibility.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% and a valid driver’s license.
