Ramp Agent (Customer Service) – JFK Airport

About the role

Delta Air Lines is seeking motivated individuals to join its ramp team at JFK Airport. As a Ramp Agent, you will play a vital part in ensuring passengers’ baggage and cargo are handled safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Lift, load, unload, and transport baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Guide incoming and departing aircraft to gate positions to maintain timely connections.
• Protect cargo, baggage, and mail from damage, loss, and weather exposure.
• Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and tow tractors safely in congested areas.
• Use baggage scanners and computer systems to route items accurately to their destinations.

Required profile

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 18 years old with legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 70 lb and working in various weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and security standards.

Required skills

• Ground equipment operation (tugs, belt loaders, tow tractors).
• Baggage scanner and computer system operation.
