Quality Technician

About the role

Precinmac is seeking a Quality Technician to join its on‑site second‑shift team. You will inspect raw, in‑process, and finished precision‑machined components for aerospace and defense customers, ensuring they meet strict AS9100 and FAA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional, visual and functional inspections using CMMs, calipers, micrometers and other gauges.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T specifications.
• Generate inspection reports, NCRs, First Article Inspections and maintain quality logs.
• Calibrate inspection tools and conduct basic maintenance.
• Manage Statistical Process Control (SPC), run capability studies and Gauge R&R.
• Support continuous improvement through root‑cause analysis (FMEA) and corrective actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA and internal quality policies.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; associate degree in Quality Management or a technical field preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in aerospace or high‑precision manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools: calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
• Blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of AS9100 aerospace quality system.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Gauge R&R.
• Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
• Ability to calibrate inspection equipment.
• Use of ERP or Quality Management System (QMS) software.
