Preventative Maintenance Technician (Conveyor Systems)

About the role

The Preventative Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability and performance of conveyor and material‑handling equipment by executing scheduled maintenance tasks. Working within a defined mechanical scope, you will use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work, document actions, and spot potential issues before they cause downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance using CMMS work orders, following established maintenance plans.
• Execute routine tasks on conveyor and material‑handling systems, including belt replacement, chain shortening, and wear‑component replacement.
• Carry out corrective maintenance within your training and technical capability.
• Inspect equipment during work to identify early signs of wear or failure and promptly escalate concerns.
• Accurately complete and close CMMS work orders, maintaining detailed records for reporting and continuous improvement.
• Follow all safety policies, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of industrial or mechanical maintenance experience (preferred).
• Ability to work independently, follow standardized procedures, and lift up to 75 lb.
• Willingness to work at heights, in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with a CMMS.
• Experience maintaining conveyor systems.
• Experience maintaining material‑handling equipment.
