About the role
The Quality Specialist ensures that manufacturing processes and finished products meet established quality standards. Working closely with production teams, the specialist conducts inspections, analyzes results, and drives continuous improvement while maintaining compliance with ISO and other quality management systems.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and implement quality assurance standards for all manufacturing processes and products.
- Inspect and test raw materials, in‑process components, and finished goods using calipers, micrometers, and measuring gauges.
- Document and analyze test results to identify defects, deviations, or irregularities.
- Enforce compliance with ISO standards and verify adherence to specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct root cause analyses and propose corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and logs.
- Calibrate and maintain testing equipment regularly.
- Assist in training production staff on quality protocols.
- Support senior quality staff in audits and documentation development (work instructions, procedures, forms, ITP, FMEA).
- Participate in team, production, and lesson‑learned meetings.
Required profile
- Experience performing quality inspections and testing in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and other quality management systems.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong analytical skills for defect identification and root cause analysis.
- Effective collaboration with production teams and ability to communicate findings.
- Commitment to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
Required skills
- Use of precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and measuring gauges.
- Calibration of testing equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Root cause analysis techniques.
- FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- ITP (Inspection Test Plan) development.
- Creation and revision of quality documentation (work instructions, procedures, forms).
